Family Homes is fully compliant with the new Tenant Fees Act which came into effect on the 1st June 2019.
In practice this means that you are able to apply for a property, paying a Holding Deposit of 1 week’s rent once Stage One of your application has been approved.
There are a number of permitted payments under the Act which will remain in place:
- Utilities, rent, Council Tax and TV Licence
- A Holding Deposit
- A Security Deposit
- Default fees eg replacement key or late rent payment
- Fees for changing a Tenant or ending a Tenancy early
